TEXAS CITY —Richard Alridge, 60, departed this life on Friday, December 16, 2011, at Mainland Medical Center. Richard was born November 26, 1951, in Nacogdoches, Texas to Charles, Sr. and Louise Brook Alridge.He was a US Army veteran and a cook in his family's restaurant business. He enjoyed life to the fullest.He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Joseph C. Williams, Sr. and Samuel L. Alridge.He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Alridge; one grandson; brothers, Charles S. Alridge, (Valerie), Adolph Williams (Bonnie) and Shannon Daugherty (Marie); host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 26, 2011, followed by a homegoing service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary.
