Joe attended Osage R-1 School in Chamois. He was employed with Central Electric Power Coop., Ameren U.E. and the Carpenters Local 945. He also owned and operated Dave's Tavern in Taos from 1998 to 2012. Joe was a funding of the Coyote Ridge Longhunters.
Along with his wife and mother, Jewell he is survived by fou children, Kiberely Sprnger(DeWayn) of Taos, Shantell Taylor(Steven of Taos, Amanda Martin of Jefferson City, and Rocky Martin of Jefferson City. one brother, Delmar Brown(Catherine)o Jefferson City, one sister, Linda Armstrong(George) of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin and five grandchildren, Sidney and Shawna Taylor, Delaney and Quinton Sprenger and Amaari Martin. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Brandt and one brother, Jon Brandt.
Friends will be received from 4-8p.m. Tuesday August 6, 2013 at the Chamois Lions Club Building with a toast at the river to be held at 4p.m. Graveside service wll be private for the family.
