Born December 13, 1906, in Lewis County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Sylvester and Myrtie (McGlone) Stone. She was a member of Blankenship Christian Holiness Church and enjoyed spending time chatting with her family and friends. Rebecca also enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading her Bible, cooking, and playing her favorite game, Scrabble.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathryn Stafford, with whom she made her home for 9 years, and Sue and Wayne Clipse of Mansfield; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Oral Liles of Southshore, Kentucky, and Paul and Nell Liles of Mobile, Alabama; a grandson whom she raised, Dan Weaver and his wife, Sandy of Burlington, Kentucky; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; a host of great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Shirley Liles of Garrison, Kentucky; son-in-law, Waynard Patton of Mansfield; lifetime friend, Emma Jordan of Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oscar Liles in 1954, two daughters, Violet Lewis and Imogene Patton, son, James Liles, son-in-law, Cliff Stafford, and other dear relatives.
Friends may call at the Blankenship Christian Holiness Church, Route 1, Vanceburg, Kentucky, on Saturday, June 25 from 12-3 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m., officiated by the Rev. James Deately. Burial will follow in Stone Cemetery.
