LEMASTER, Mary A., age 91 of Springfield passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013. She was born on February 19, 1922 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Lawrence A. and Violet E. (Switzer) Abbott. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Lemaster and a brother Lawrence Abbott. She is survived by her two daughters, Darlene (Wendell) Long and Carole (Dale) Passmore; grandchildren: Derek Passmore, Kelly Passmore, Laurel Long, Lesley (Ralph) Long and Wendy (George) Beavers; great-grandchildren: Ocean and Willow Kane and Kelly and Kerry Beavers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary graduated from Springfield High School in 1940 and went on to receive a degree in bookkeeping from Springfield Business College. She was employed at R and M during World War II and Thermometer Corporation of America from 1972-1978. Mary was a life long member of Grace United Methodist Church in Springfield and will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER from 10:00a.m.-12:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at noon. Pastor Vickie Downing officiating. Burial to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Mary's honor.
