Doris Glenda Brown, 75, of Decatur, Ala., died Friday (Aug. 2, 2013) at Decatur General Hospital. She was born in Lincoln County on April 26, 1938 to the late Nogar and Jennie Bradley Clark. She was a former furniture salesperson and was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God in Decatur. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Carmen Delores Brown; son, Jimmy Van Brown, Jr.; sisters, Gertrude Arnold, Helen Branch, Mattie Sue Steward; and brothers, Homer Clark and Alford Clark. Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Kay Cushman-Prewitt and husband, Carl Lee, of Decatur; sister, Erma Jean Fite and husband, A.P., of Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Aaron Bradley Cushman and Carl Ryan Prewitt, both of Decatur. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Willis officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
