Thursday, March 26, 1896 - The Pilot - George Goedeker
DIED

GOEDEKER-Monday, March 16, at the home of his son-in-law, Gust Mencke, west and south of Blair a few miles, George Goedeker aged 70 years and 6 months.

Deceased was a native of Germany, who came here with his family eighteen years ago. He had been a sufferer from enlargement of the heart for some time, and death was not unexpected. He leaves an aged widow and four grown-up children, Louis and Henry Goedeker, Mrs. Claus Wulf and Mrs. Gust. Mencke. The funeral was held Wednesday, the 18, and Mr. Rudolf Peters, of this place, an old friend of the deceased, made a short address at the grave in memory of the departed.
