96 years and 9 months, completed her journey on earth July 18, 2013. She was the daughter of Joseph A. and Theresa H. (Hildebrandt) Kleinheinz, born on October 9, 1916 in Wausau, Wisconsin. She attended Marquette University and the Music Conservatory in Milwaukee. In June of 1938 she married Clinton G. Martinson in Milwaukee and seven children were born, one dying in infancy. Laurie was an accomplished musician and a juried artist. She played clarinet in a band on a Wausau radio station as well as weddings, the organ at churches in Milwaukee, directed a men's choir in Milwaukee, gave music lessons, and sang in several church musicals and choirs in Tucson. After her children were grown she developed her artistic talent painting mainly Southwestern scenes in acrylic. When the art gallery The Artery opened she was one of its charter members. Her painting won awards at the Pima County fairs and she exhibited at many of the art shows in the region. She served her community by delivering food for Meals on Wheels and taking Holy Communion to those hospitalized at TMC. For several years she was a secretary for Tucson Unified School District. Laurie loved to travel and visited Europe several times as well as cruising to Hawaii, the Caribbean and Alaska. She is survived by six children, ....
