Helene Herndon Wilson, 83, of Port Royal died June 20 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
The New Orleans native was a resident of Savannah most of her life. She attended Mary Baldwin College in Virginia and was a member of the first graduating class of Armstrong Junior College in Savannah.
She was a member of the Frobel Circle and of Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah. She was the widow of Oliver Gregory Wilson Jr.
SURVIVORS: a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin H. Wilson Sr. and Barbara Mobley Wilson of Atlanta; a daughter and son-in-law, Clara Wilson and Marty Hiddleson of Port Royal; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11 a.m. Friday in Bonaventure Cemetery.
