Michael 'Mike' Jay Wilson, 58, of Switz City, IN, passed from this life to be with his Lord, Monday, January 31, 2011, at Union Hospital. Mike had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. He was born May 29, 1952, to Paul Koonce and Sondra (Wilson) Koonce. On December 28, 1985, he married Tammy S. (Hester) and from that marriage, they had two daughters.

Mike was a member of the American Legion Post #22. He was an employed at Crane Naval Weapons Support Center where he worked as an engineering technician. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Army.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy, one son, Erek Wilson of Linton, two daughters, Tasha and Tiffany Wilson at home with their parents. Also surviving is a brother, Bob Koonce of Columbus, GA; one sister Debbie Eads of Linton. He is also survived by nieces, Emily, Mercedes, Tesla, Alexis, Megan, Veronica, Jasmyn and Timberly and nephews, Patrick, Shaun, Bobby, James, Johnny and Levi.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Margaret Wilson.

Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Chaplain Patrick Hester officiating. Calling will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday February 4, 2011 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN with Full Military Rites given by American Legion Post #22.
