He was a native of Cleveland County

C.T. was preceded by parents: Clarence Thomas and Mattie Blanton Dixon Sr., brother of the late E.D. "Bill" Dixon, Bertie Horn and Tennie McDaniel.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Kings Mountain.

Chick was the retired owner of Friendly Billiard Parlor, Kings Mountain.
