Juan Bences Salazar, a native and resident of Nambe.

Upon his discharge he was employed by the Zia Company in Los Alamos as a truck driver.

He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rita (Martinez) and Esquipula Salazar; and sisters, Bernardita Garduño and Olympia Mondragon.

Bences was survived by his wife, Eloiza, whom he married in Jun 1990 in Las Cruces; daughter, Norma Trujillo; two sons, Bences Jr. and Joseph; two sisters, Jennie Salazar and Ruth Griego; 11 grandchildren; and other relatives.
