Uncle John Judd, 73, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs Dyer, here Saturday evening. Mr Judd had been in poor health for several years, but had been confined to bed for only a few days. While sitting at the table eating dinner, he had a stroke of paralysis, from which he never fully recovered.
Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ, of which Mr Judd was a member, Sunday at 2 p.m. C W Coleman, Chester Patton and Rev J A Harris each made talks speaking of the good qualities Mr Judd possessed.
Surviving Uncle John are his widow and the following children; Arthur, Mrs Roscoe Morrow, Mrs Pierce Austin, Mrs Ambus Dyer, Mrs Alvin Bruce, Mrs Vanderbilt Cole, Fred, all of Baxter, and Willie Judd of Orlando, Fl. All the children were present at the funeral.
Everyone will miss seeing Uncle John around town, as he was here as long as he could totter along.
