OBITUARY
LYONS - Hollis Bowen, 53, died of an apparent heart attack Firday afternoon at his home.
He was a native of Montgomery County and a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Bowen of Lyons; five sons, Steve, Herbert, and Ricky Bowen, all of Lyons, Larry Bowen of Vidalia and Wayne Bowen of Collins; two daughters, Miss Ann Bowen of Lyons and Mrs. Fay Harden of Uvalda; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Bernice Bowens of Lyons; six brothers, Howard Bowen of Eastman and Willard, Ben, David, Wiston and Frederick Bowen, all of Lyons; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Ethel Taylor and Mrs. Geraldine Hayes, both of Lyons and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. at Ohoopee Baptist Church with burial in Old Mount Zion Cemetery, both near Lyons.
Trapnell Funeral Home of Lyons is in charge.
