Although no marker for her is currently present in Pioneer Cemetery, she was most likely buried here, perhaps somewhere near her husband, Albert F. Schellhorn, and father-in-law, J. Henry Schellhorn.
The initial representing her first name was found via the 1860 census, at which time she was 28 years old and residing with A. F. and J. H. Schellhorn who were pioneer brewers in Nevada City. The brewery they operated was located on Main Street in Nevada City and was known as the U.S. Brewery. Following the death of her husband, the U.S. Brewery was sold for $730. via an Administrator's sale in late December 1866, as was a brick house on Commercial Street that brought forth an additional $400.
Mrs. Albert F. Schellhorn died at the residence of John Thorp, 2 1/2 miles past Buena Vista Ranch, on January 30, 1866. She was a widow at the time of her death.
