Life's Work/Service/Interests: David was a gifted vocalist and violinist, and participated in acappella choir, madrigals, orchestra, and theatre. He also was a selected soloist for many school and community performances. David majored in orchestra at the Las Vegas Academy and was awarded either 1st or 2nd chair in most performances. He had several violin and vocal teachers, including Darryl Babidge from BYU. David had an incredible ability to love everyone he came in contact with and was deeply loved in return. His sense of humor always brightened your day! He was the grandson of Howard and Colleen Biddulph of Provo, Utah. Beloved, David Alexander Gow, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on July 28, 2013, at the Palliative Care Unit in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital in British Columbia (BC), Canada, his loved ones gathered around him.
Religion/Associations: David looked forward all of his life to serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He now has his long-anticipated call to serve, for which his loved ones rejoice.
Survived By: His mother and father, his stepfather, Rolf Bertler; his siblings: Chris Gow, Anna Chow, and Laura Alms; and two brothers-in-law, Ryan Chow and Matthew Alms; sister-in-law, Laura Gow; stepbrother and sister, Jon and Mohna Thuernagle; his grandparents; all his nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, and friends.
