Daughter of John Bowman McDaniel and Hannah Ashton McDaniel (and granddaughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Parker Ashton)

The grave of her mother, Hannah Ashton McDaniel (25 Sept. 1787 - 13 Nov. 1856) has not yet been located. Hannah lived with this Elizabeth, but then Elizabeth died and her widower remarried. It is not clear where Hannah lived from 1853 to 1856. Elizabeth's surviving siblings were Joseph Ashton, Benjamin Walton and Sarah Andrews McDaniel.

Elizabeth was the first wife of William Goldson Calver. They were married 7 Nov. 1832.

Their children were:

* James Henry Calver (1838-1862)
* Dr. William Calver (1838-1905)
* John Walton Calver (1843-after 1910)
* Sarah Goldson Calver Altemus (1845-1886)
* Hannah Parker Calver Moore (1848-1923)
* Dr, George W.H. Calver (1840-1901)

On 25 March 1873, her grave was removed from West Street/Kensington Union Cemetery to Mount Peace Cemetery, along with her husband, his father and stepmother Calver, and William and Elizabeth's infant son James E. and young adult son James H., according to Mount Peace records.
