Jacob Garbrick passed away at his home in Marion township, early Monday morning October 8th. He was born June 4th, 1817 in Miles township; he was married to Hannah Zeigler, in 1839; had nine children: Henry, George, Emanuel, Jacob, Josephine Hockman, and Jemima Ishler, which survive him and Benjamin Franklin, Joseph and Hannah Elizabeth deceased. He had 58 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. His first wife died in 1865. He was afterward married to Sarah Harter, who died six years ago. He was a consistent member of the Reformed church, at Jacksonville.
