Hi!
I'm a 3rd great grandson of wiley k Hudson. I saw that you manage a Grave site for him in the Teck Cemetery. He's not buried there. He was buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, in an unmarked grave. His son, Joseph Alexander Hudson used to take various family members to the spot.
According to the sexton records for oakwood a body was found floating down the Colorado, and because they couldn't identify him, he was taken and buried in oakwood in a "pauper's grave" in 1862. I'm quite positive it's one and the same.
The story that passed down was that when they came to get Wiley to enlist, he refused to go, and they drowned him. So the drowned body fits.∼His parents were James Harris Hudson and Sarah Ann Bellah.
