Lamar Miller, 68, passed away Friday July 26, 2013 at Chateau Ridgeland. Services will be 11:00am Tuesday July 30, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland, preceded by visitation at 9:00am. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

Lamar was a 1963 graduate of McComb High School where he lettered in football and attended the University of Southern MS on a football scholarship. He was a retired independent oil and gas landman. He traveled the world to pursue his passion of hunting and fishing. He was known as a character with a sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Margo Thompson Miller.

Survivors include his son Bryan Miller (Dee) of Madison; grandchildren, Reed Miller and Mary Grace Miller; brother, Samuel Miller of McComb, Jimmy Miller (Susan) of Slidell, LA: and sister, Elizabeth Windham (David) of Olive Branch.
