Funeral services were held Monday from the Ball Funeral home for the late Frank L. Stid, whose death occurred Thursday at the home of his son, Earl, in the north part of the city. Mr. Stid had been ill but a short time.

Frank L. Stid was the son of Van Ranslear and Laura (Moorman) Stid and was born in Vevay Township 11-24-1864 He was of a family of 13 children, 5 of whom survive.

They are: William,
James, and
George of Mason and
Mrs. Alice Smith of Jackson and
Mrs. Ida Marquedant of Leslie.
A half-sister, Mrs. Olive Rumley of Gladwin, also survives.

On Sept. 13, 1885 he was married to Lean May Stout who preceded him in death Nov. 1928. Two children were born to this union;
Alice Baker and Earl Stid of Mason, both of whom survive.

There are also 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
