Along with her husband, Master Chef William H. Haussner, Frances operated the World Famous HAUSSNER'S RESTAURANT of Baltimore. They combined old world German decor with delectable food & a reknowned collection of artwork. When their restaurant closed after over 60 years in business, Frances decided to auction off the artwork that she began accumulating in 1939. The various pieces brought over $ 10,000,000.00 at auction with SOTHEBY'S.
