Anton George Kiesler of 814 South Sixth St., Canon City, died July 2, 1985, after a brief illness, in Canon City. He was born Nov. 28, 1895 in Westcliffe, the son of Joseph & Frances (Etzel) Kiesler. He was 89. Mr. Kiesler lived in Westcliffe until 1942. He then moved to Canon City and has resided here until his death. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a life member of D.A.V. He was a member of the Golden Age Center and Elks Lodge #610. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He married Leona A. Fricke at Pueblo, May 2, 1962. she preceded him in death on June 5, 1982. He is survived by his children: Geraldine Yankovich and Frances Conner, both of Vancouver, WA; a daughter, Betty McNeff preceded him in death March of 1984. He is also survived by four sisters: Margaret Meadows, Elizabeth Baker and Josephine Wolf, all of Pueblo and Stella Baker of Walsenburg; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Rosary was Friday, 7 p.m., July 5, 1985 at Andrews Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial is at 9 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 1985 at St. Michael's Catholic Church wit the Benedictine Fathers officiating. Interment Lakeside Cemetery with Elks graveside service by B.P.O.E. # 610 and Flag Folding Ceremony by local veterans.
