Services for Rev. Glen Robert Lanier will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2005 in Forest Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Robert McLane and Rev. Jason Gardner officiating with music b y Rev. Ronnie Parks. Interment will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Rev. Glen Robert Lanier, age 84, of Forest Hill, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 in Matthews Memorial with care by Cabrini Hospice.

He was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired Baptist minister serving numerous churches in Louisiana for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella Nixon Lanier and John Watkins Lanier; and son-in-law, Woodrow Franks.

Rev. Glen Lanier is survived by his wife of 64 years, Naomi K. Hamilton Lanier of Forest Hill; two daughters, Kay Parks and her husband Rev. Ronnie Parks of Gardner and Pat Franks of Forest Hill; four grandchildren, David Parks and his wife Candra of Sterlington, Danny Parks of Gardner, Allison Bailey and her husband Billy Joe of Forest Hill and Clay Franks of Seattle, Washington; five great-grandchildren, Chet and Chase Parks of Sterlington, Kaitlin, Billy Joe, Jr. and Allie Clair Bailey of Forest Hill; one sister, Earline LeBlanc of Kinder.

Friends are asked to call from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. Monday at John Kramer & Son.

Pallbearers will be David Parks, Danny Parks, Billy Joe Bailey, Clay Franks, Norman Wertz and Donald McInnis.

Memorials may be made to Cabrini Hospice, 3330 Masonic Drive, Alexandra, LA, 71301 or the church of your choice.
