Rev. Glen Robert Lanier, age 84, of Forest Hill, died Saturday, October 22, 2005 in Matthews Memorial with care by Cabrini Hospice.
He was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired Baptist minister serving numerous churches in Louisiana for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella Nixon Lanier and John Watkins Lanier; and son-in-law, Woodrow Franks.
Rev. Glen Lanier is survived by his wife of 64 years, Naomi K. Hamilton Lanier of Forest Hill; two daughters, Kay Parks and her husband Rev. Ronnie Parks of Gardner and Pat Franks of Forest Hill; four grandchildren, David Parks and his wife Candra of Sterlington, Danny Parks of Gardner, Allison Bailey and her husband Billy Joe of Forest Hill and Clay Franks of Seattle, Washington; five great-grandchildren, Chet and Chase Parks of Sterlington, Kaitlin, Billy Joe, Jr. and Allie Clair Bailey of Forest Hill; one sister, Earline LeBlanc of Kinder.
Friends are asked to call from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. Monday at John Kramer & Son.
Pallbearers will be David Parks, Danny Parks, Billy Joe Bailey, Clay Franks, Norman Wertz and Donald McInnis.
