Ms. Stowell was born in Smyna, Georgia to Colfax Littlepage Adams and Luster Zella Moss Adams. The family moved in 1919 to West Palm Beach, Florida, where she meet and married William Rockwell Stowell. They moved to California in the 1930's and resided there until 2002. Most recently Ms. Stowell was a resident of Morningside Assisted Living in Gainesville.
Ms. Stowell was preceded in death by her husband William Stowell, Monterey Park California; her parents Colfax and Luster Adams, West Palm Beach, Florida; and her brother James Adams, West Palm Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Stowell, Riverside, California, and Nancy Neace, Lawrenceville GA; grandsons, Keith Neace and wife Catherine, Athens GA, David Neace, Lawrenceville GA; twin great grandsons, Holden and Landon Neace, Athens GA; sisters, Mildred Gladson, Apopka, Florida, and Mozelle Westberry, Cornelia, GA; niece Merry Westberry, Cornelia, GA; and nephew Jack Westberry, Wausau, WI.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening October 16, 2007 6pm-8pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville.
Ms. Stowell will be intered at Rose Hills Cemetery in California.
