from a 1983 booklet about Congruity Church and Burials from collection of Marianne McNair of Jacksonville FL: John Moore served in the Revolutionary War as Frontier Ranger in Westmoreland county with Capt Jere Lochry's Company. Honorable John Moore became first President Judge of Westmoreland County Courts, both at Hannastown and Greensburg. He was also a member of the first Constitutional Convention of Pennsylvania held in 1776 and was a State Senator before 1790 representing the Westmoreland County District.
