BETTY FLEXTER, 80, of Cisne passed away 8:36PM Monday, July 22, 2013 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born January 29, 1933 at Cleveland, OK to Arthur Lee and Vivian (Jones) Barton. She married Lee "Mait" Flexter February 10, 1951 at Cisne, IL. He preceded her in death August 13, 2007.
Betty was a homemaker, served on the election board for Keith Township and enjoyed reading, sewing, and cooking.
Betty is survived by two daughters Dana (Willie) Johnson of Rinard, IL and Terri (Ken) Lence of Cisne, IL; three sons Mike Flexter of Cisne,, IL, George (Kim) Flexter of Mattoon, IL and Matt Flexter of Cisne, IL; Sisters Reada (Don) Lewis of Flora and Glendean (Bill) Johnson of North Carolina; and brother Don Barton of Phoenix, AZ. Seven Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Mait, one infant son Donald Maitland Flexter and brothers Max and Robert.
Funeral service will be 11:00AM Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gunion Cemetery. Friends may from 9:00AM until the time of service on Thursday morning.
Memorials may be given to North Wayne Ambulance Service and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
