FIDEL ALTAMIRANO was born April 23, 1895 in Laredo, TX and died March 15, 1963 in San Antonio, TX at age 67.

He married (Mrs.) Petra Esquivel (nee Ramirez), daughter of Epiminio Ramirez and Dolores Gutierrez. Fidel helped to raise Petra's two sons (Antonio and Gregorio) from her previous marriage.

Fidel and Petra had a son Guadalupe born June 16, 1924 and died Sept. 19, 1927 at age 4 years and 3 months. Guadalupe is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Corpus Christi, TX with his maternal grandfather Epiminio Ramirez and other relatives.
