Mr. Kobus was born in Russia, Sept. 26, 1877. He lived the early part of his life in Germany and came to the United States in 1909 and settled near Fairview. He moved to Newton County in 1937 where he was engaged in farming. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eva Kobus of the home, two sons, Bill Kobus, Stockton, Calif. and Art Kobus, Neosho, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Hazelgreen Cemetery.
