OBITUARY
MICHAEL J. FARON
Michael J. Faron, 83, of 135 S. Park
Ave., Clarksburg, died at 9:05 a.m.
Thursday, January 24, in Veterans
Administration Medical Center following
an extended illness.
He was born March 7, 1896,
a son of the late John P. and
Anna Ondrik-Faron. Surviving are his
wife, Mary Faron-Jurick, whom he
married Feb. 7, 1920; two sons, John J.
Faron, Bridgeport, Thomas J. Faron,
Roanoke, Va.; one daughter, Mrs.
Bernard (Joseph ine) Schmidt ,
Charleston WV.; one brother, Andrew
Faron, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters,
Mrs. Albert (Anna) Warchola, Newark, N.
J., Katherine Faron, Washington D.C.;
seven grand children and five greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by several brothers. Mr. Faron was
owner and operator of the Clark St.
Garage until his retirement. He was a
member of the Holy Rosary Catholic
Church, a member of the Knights of
Columbus, a Veteran of World War I, a
member of the VFW Post No. 573, and a
57 year member and past Commander of
the Roy E. Parrish Post No. 13 American
Legion.
Friends will be received at the
Davis Weaver Funeral Home, 329 E. Main
St., Fri. from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be recited Sat. Jan
26, at 11 a.m. From the Holy Rosary
Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Frank
J. Brunner as celebrant.
Internment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited at the funeral
home Fri. Eve. At 6:30 p.m.
A Biblical Prayer service will be recited
at the funeral home Fri. eve. at 8:00 p.m.
Davis Weaver service.
