Abram was born in Potsdam in St Lawrence county to Elisha Eggleston 1751-1804 and his wife Elizabeth Merrill 1749-1815. By 1850 Abram lived in Essex Village married to Sally Hoskins. They had children Myron b.1831; Newton b.1835; George b.1838; and Harriet b.1841. By 1855 the family had a farm Willsboro (Willsborough), and there they were found through 1880. Here in the Old Burt Cemetery is a memorial stone for possibly Abram's "Mother" and "Father", without dates. The grave is probably empty for Abram's father died in Plattsburg in 1804, and the stone is much more recent.
