Daughter of Benjamin Ulysses (Ulyss) & Sally Lorina Housley Cox
GILES, LAURA MALINDA COX - age 90 of Knoxville, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 8:09 a.m. at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born in Sharp's Chapel. Linda worked hard all her life and deeply cared about her family always. A longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Union County, she recently affiliated with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Halls Crossroads. Preceded in death by: husband, William Raymond Giles parents, B.U. and Sallie Housley Cox brothers, Joe, Jim, Bill, Jay, Ronnie and Robert sisters, Lillian and Della. Survived by: daughter, Ninez Giles of Nashville son, William Giles of Knoxville sister, Maggie Dyke of Sharp's Chapel brothers, Jess Cox of New Tazewell, and Jack Cox of Knoxville many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Friday, March 4 at Stevens Mortuary Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Dykes officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. entombment service with Elder Vaughn McCoy presiding.
