MEEKER, Richard C.
Age 86, passed peacefully at home on July 8, 2013, after his daily morning walk.

A native Californian he proudly served his country in the USN during WWII and the Korean conflict.

After his military service he began a career in management, sales and advertising that spanned over thirty years.

Dick had a lifelong passion for stream fishing, held a private pilots license, was a volunteer director on homeowner boards, loved his home, garden, and enjoyed listening to classical music and barbecuing for family and friends.

He and his wife of forty-five years traveled in Europe, the South Pacific, Canada, Alaska and to many regions of the U.S. He had an adventurous spirit, a zest for life and could always entertain with stories about his exploits.

Dick is greatly missed by his adored wife, family members and friends.

His beloved son Richard Carleton "Richie" Meeker, Jr preceded him in death.

The Nautilus Society is making arrangements. Both the committal service at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon and a reception honoring him are planned for August. Dates and times TBA.
