FRANKLIN - Ruth Clemmons Green, 95, died March 31, 2005. She was a native of Supply, N.C. and a resident of Franklin and Williamsburg. She attended the Franklin Church of God. Three daughters, Doris E. Nicholson and Marie Hollemon of Williamsburg and Virginia Bryant and husband Truman of Sedley, Va.,; two sons, Robert Green and wife Joe of Hampton and Mike Green and wife Molly of Franklin; and one brothers, Robert Clemmons of Wilmington, N.C. survived her death. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild. Her husband William David Green and son, William David Green Jr. predeceased her.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Holland-Rideout Funeral Home Funeral Chapel, 1001 Armory Drive in Franklin by the Rev. James Ashby. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:30 to 7:30 tonight.
