She was very active in the community. She operated a retail business in Cary for years. She was a founding member of the Cary Lioness Club and was an avid golfer at Cary Country Club.
She is survived by two children, Cathy (John) Tangredi of Wallingford and Skip (Roberta) Hart of Cary; seven grandchildren, Jon (Jodi) Tangredi, Andre Tangredi, Marc (Roseanne) Tangredi, Amanda (Daren) Luebbers, Robert Hart, Justin (Kaitlyn) Hart and Shannon Hart; her great-grandchildren, Devin and Jacob Waryck, Elana and Luc Tangredi, Addison, Danica and Amemlia Tangredi and Tristan and Clayton Hart; and a brother, Fred (Gisela) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hart Sr.; and two brothers.
The visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, until funeral Mass is celebrated at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 First St., Cary.
Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
