Mrs. Winnifred A Hirt, 97, widow of Joseph Hirt of 5 Grandview avenue, died Sunday at 4:30 a.m. in Danbury hospital, where she had been a patient for three and a half weeks.
Mrs. Hirt was a native of Ireland, daughter of the late Thomas and Bedelia O'Neil Donlevy. She came to America 72 years ago and located in Danbury, where she had since resided. Despite her advanced age, she possessed all her faculties. She was a member of St Joseph's church and St Joseph's Guild.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph Hirt and Franklin Hrit; two daughters, Mrs. Katherine Maigis and Mrs. Frances Valhos, all of Danbury; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
