Belmont, MS~~Bobby Benjamin "Bob" Russell, 79, life expired Thursday July 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born August 17, 1933 in Athens, AL to Brasher Benjamin and Gladys Ware Russell. He was an employee of Tishomingo Power Company for over 40 years.
Services were at 3:00 p.m. Sunday July 14th. at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Maroon officiating. Burial was in the Belmont City Cemetery Belmont, MS-Deaton Funeral of Belmont in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include; one son, Benjamin Russell, Jr. (Audra) Atlanta, Ga. one granddaughter, Michalea Carol Russell and one grandson, Brasher Benjamin Russell; one sister, Juanita Miller of Athens, AL; one brother, Billy Russell of Michigan and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jean Harris, a daughter, Jala Carol Russell, his parents, and a brother, Doug Russell.
He left a special dog, Possum, that he took everywhere. After his death Possum went to California with relative and died there eventually.
