Maxine Marie Nichols of Baxter Springs, KS formally of Picher, OK passed away Tuesday July 16, 2013 at her home. She was 87.

Mrs. Nichols was born in Roseland, KS to Curtis and Florene (Bromley) Stanley. She had lived in Treece, KS and Picher, OK all her life until 2006 moving to Baxter Springs, KS. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of The Nazarene in Picher, OK where she assisted her husband, Robert in his ministry.

She married Rev. Robert Nichols February 2, 1945 in Picher, OK and he preceded her in death on September 11, 2009. She was also preceded by her parents and a brother Merle Stanley in 1945.



Graveside services will be Friday July 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Rev. Casey Hollingsworth will officiate. Pallbearers will be Nathan Nichols, Robert Womack, Matt Crowe, Rusty Bingham, Cody Womack and Dick McGowen. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Ok. Online condolences may be made at www.paulthomasfuneralhomes.com.
