Mollie Tucker Clifton, 85, of Salem, passed away, Monday, July 15, 2013. She was born in Renan on August 10, 1927. She was the daughter of Jim and Oakey Tucker. She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Jack Clifton III.; brother, Roby Tucker; and sisters, Una Mae Trent and Nona Atkinson.

Surviving to cherish her memories are her husband of 66 years, Jack Clifton Jr.; son, Jim Clifton and wife, Ena; grandchildren, Sara Clifton and Sam Clifton; brother, Thelbert Tucker, of Brookneal; sister, Alene Gill, of Altavista; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mollie was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was co-owner of Clifton Floor Tile for 40 years. She also was a member of Community Church. She loved sewing, fishing, camping and working in her flowers. For her entire life, Mollie maintained a close relationship with all her siblings and always enjoyed visiting with them and their families.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Tom Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Lotz Funeral Home Salem.

Flowers are appreciated, however, donations may be made to American Diabetes Association. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
