Bonnie Louise Richey, 84, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, April 27, 2009, at the family residence.

She was the daughter of the late John Albert Ross and Bertha Bledsoe Ross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Richey; children: Roy Ronald McAllister, Bertha Bell McAllister and Ralph R.L. McAllister; grandson, Michael William Fields; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Marie Cooper; brothers: Ezra Ross, J.C. Ross, Edward Ross and Junior Ross; sisters: Nellie Dillard, Grace; and also her sister, Virginia Lee Brooks, who passed away a few hours before her on Sunday.

She enjoyed her flower garden. She loved drawing and painting. Most of her paintings were very religious and consisted of churches, log cabins and country scenes.

Survivors include her son, Dennis Lee McAlister of Cleveland; daughter, Joann M. Allen and her husband, Robert, of Cleveland; grandchildren: Stephanie Danielle Denney and her husband, Clint, Heith Lee Gaskill and his wife, Jessica, Derrick Lee Wagner and his wife, Nina, Denise Lawson, Angela McAllister and Roy Ronald McAllister II; great-grandchildren: Kelsey Danielle Denney, Clayton Alexander Denney, Morgan Lee Denney, Jesse Gaskill, Courtney Gaskill, Carlos Wagner, Patricia Wagner, Justin Andrew Martin, Nathaniel Lee Migneron and Roy Ronald McAllister III; sister, Alice Irene Golden of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Tim Woody and William Morfield officiating.

Interment will follow in McInturff Cemetery with Heith Gaskill, Derrick Wagner, Bill Thompson, Clint Denney, Robert Allen and Rick Trzeciak serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Carlos Wagner.
