Bry Cobb, 82 Dies Wednesday
Bry Cobb, 82, died at his home near Mountain Rest Wednesday morning. Mr. Cobb had been in declining health for four years and was seriously ill one month.
A lifelong resident of Oconee County, he was a son of the late Baylus Cobb and Rebecca Carnie Cobb, and a member of the Mountain Grove Baptist church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nancy Ramey Cobb; four sons, Baylus A. Cobb of Mountain Rest, Roland Cobb of Westminster, Mrs. Amanda Blackley of Toccoa, Ga; 50 grand children and several great grand children; two brothers, Steve Cobb of Clayton, Ga. and Joel Cobb of Appalachee, Ga; one sister, Mrs. Dovie James of Westminster.
Funeral services were held from Mountain Grove Baptist church Thursday with the Rev. Cliff Cobb, the Rev. Charles Dockins, and the Rev. Virgil Turpin officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Grandsons served as active pallbearers and granddaughters as flowergirls.
