Funeral services for Amos Herren, 91, will be conducted at the Herren Chapel Church of Christ Tuesday, October 7, 1980, at 2 p.m. with Albert Ward and Charles Burgess officiating.
Mr. Herren died October 5 in the local hosptial following an extended illness.
He was a native of Tennessee, the son of the late Logan and Debriska Thomas Herren. He was a retired farmer and sawmill operator.
Survivors include five sons, Charley O. Herren of Silver Point, Carlos Herren of Clinton, Leonard Herren of Midland, Michigan, and Floyd and Ralph Herren of Baxter; five daughters, Mrs. Hassel Hancock, Freeland, Michigan, Mrs. Hazel Randolph, Mrs. Veila Chaffin, Mrs. Ruth Robinson of Baxter, and Mrs. Vallie Chaffin, Silver Point; two brothers, Oscar and Simon Herren, Baxter; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Henley and Mrs. Etta Randolph of Baxter, 36 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in the Judd Cemetery.
The Baxter chapel of Hooper & Huddleston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
