Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 13, in the Chapel of Wright and Ferguson in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, 5-7 PM, and again Saturday July 13, 9-10 AM at Wright and Ferguson on Highland Parkway in Ridgeland. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana on Monday, July 15 at 11AM. Arrangements in Slidell will be handled by Honaker Funeral Home.
Doris was born in New Orleans to Martin and Blanche (Fisher) Ripp. Doris was a warm and kind woman, possessing a quiet grace. She had the ability to bring a sense of peace born of her strong faith to those around her. She always put the needs of others before her own. Doris preferred to work quietly in the background serving others. She was a wonderful role model to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Paul Boudra, Sr., two sisters, Elaine (Ripp) Wimberly and Patricia (Ripp) Bittenbring, and son-in-law Steven Quinn.
Doris is survived by a sister, Peggy (Ripp) Major, two sons, Paul Boudra, Jr. and wife Debbie, and Gary Boudra, three daughters, Margaret (Boudra) Root and husband Richard, Patricia (Boudra) Quinn, and Heidi (Boudra) Pellegrin, grandchildren Lauren (Boudra) Chhay, Beth Boudra, Paul Boudra, III, Daniel Root, Rebecca (Root) Dansereau, Chris Quinn, Andrew Quinn, Jared Quinn, Anna (Quinn) Mazy and Megan Pellegrin and 9 great-grandchildren.
