Henry Tucker was one of 13 children born to James Willis Tucker and Ruth Coe of Madison, CT. Henry married Rosillah Riedell (sometimes spelled Reidell) on March 19, 1838. Rosilla was the niece of Rev. Henry Gleason, minister of the Congregational Church in Durham. Rosilla's mother Polly Gleason Riedell was Rev. Gleason's sister. Rev. Gleason is buried next to Henry and Rosilla Tucker in the Durham Cemetery. Henry and Rosillah Tucker had 10 children:
1. Mary Gleason Tucker, born Jan. 4, 1840; married John Newton of Durham, CT.
2. Henry Vandervoort Tucker, born Oct. 19, 1841; married Clara Bacon of Middletown, CT. The name Vandervoort was the maiden name of Cynthia, the wife of Rev. Henry Gleason, minister of the Congregational Church in Durham, CT at the time Henry Tucker and Rosillah Riedell were married. Rev. Gleason was Rosillah's uncle, the brother of Polly Gleason, Rosillah's mother. Therefore, Cynthia Vandervoort Tucker was Rosillah's aunt. Rev. Henry Gleason and his wife Cynthia had a son Henry Vandervoort Gleason who died very young. When Henry and Rosillah Tucker had their first son they named him Henry Vandervoort Tucker.
3. Charles Gilbert Tucker, born Nov. 17, 1843; married (first) Sarah Rogers of Madison; after Sarah's death married Sarah's sister Eliza Hannah Rogers.
4. Rose (or Rosella) D. Tucker, born Sept. 6, 1846; married Thomas Gilbert of Newfield.
5. Ruth (or Ruthella) Coe Tucker, born Jan. 9, 1849; married Talcott Parsons Strong of Durham.
6. Maria Eliza Tucker, born Feb. 17, 1851 and died July 1, 1851. She is buried with Henry and Rosillah.
7. Albert Riedell Tucker, born May 17, 1852 and died July 24, 1934; married (first) Maryetta Crowell from Middletown, CT and had two children (Lucy Crowell Tucker and Myron Havens Tucker); married second Etta Frost from Medford, Maine. Albert Riedell Tucker and Etta Frost Tucker had one child, Albert Perry Tucker.
8. James Riedell Tucker, born Dec. 14, 1855; married Martha J. Lawrence, daughter of Judge Cyrus Lawrence of South Salem, NY. James Riedell Tucker graduated from Yale University in 1878 and was a classmate of President William Howard Taft.
9. Cynthia Tucker, born Oct. 5, 1858; married Caesar Bannihr and lived in New York.
10. Lewey A. Tucker, born Dec. 8, 1862; married John Ball of Durham. Lewey and John are buried behind Henry and Rosillah Tucker.

This grave is behind the Durham Town Hall, which was once the Congregational Church. Henry is buried with his wife Rosillah Reidell Tucker and their infant daughter Maria Eliza.
