James C. Allison, 88, of Hundred, died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at his residence.

He was born August 19,1918 at Sardis, Kentucky, a son of the late Edward W. Allison and Lornia Doone Goddard Allison.

Jim was a member of Sprinkler and Pipe Fitters Local #669. Before owning his own companies he was an employee of Grinnell for 33 years. On October 17, 1973 he founded Allison & Lohr Automatic Sprinkler Co. and ran the company until he sold it on November 30, 2006. He also founded West Virginia Fire Protection in Clarksburg on January 1, 1981 and sold it on September 30, 2005. He and his wife currently operate the Corner Cafe (Allison, Inc.) in Hundred. They purchased the restaurant on October 1, 1999.

He enjoyed coon hunting, attending church, life, and his family. He was a member of the Church of God. He was a United States Navy veteran.

Suriving are his wife, Lou E. Crim Lemley Allison; his children and spouses, Pat and Wayne Oliver of Aurora, Indiana, Marilyn and Ron Fritch of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dianne and Chet Hostutler of Hundred, Janet and Ron Koontz of Hundred, Tom Allison of Hundred, Lorna and Jim Briggs of New Martinsville, Clay and Charmagne Allison of Hundred, Debra Ray of Rittman, Ohio, Jeff and Amy Lemley of Lisbon, Ohio, Cindy Neville of Columbiana, Ohio, and Pete and Regina Lemley of Reader, WV; twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, and his faithful dog "Joey".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, two sons, James C. Allison, Jr. and John Matthew Allison, and one granddaughter, Melanie Allison.

Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 7-9 PM Wednesday, and 2-4 & 7-9 PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Friday with the Pastor Stan Lambert and Pastor Arles Wade officiating. Interment will follow in the Wadestown Cemetery.
