Charles Leon Motley, 78, of Bowling Green died at 3:25 a.m. July 21, 2000, at Greenview Regional Hospital.The Simpson County native was a retired Holley Carburetor employee, a World War II Air Force veteran and a member and deacon of Marthas Chapel Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Herschel Motley and Belle Cox Motley.Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Marthas Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Survivors include his wife, Donnie Cartwright Motley;
two sisters, Pauline Motley Kane of Florida and Clyde Motley Kirby of Bowling Green; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
