Alice M. Danner, 90, of Willmar, Minn., died Tuesday, July 10, 2013, at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
Alice Marie Danner was born Dec. 18, 1922, in Winneshiek County, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Della (Baker) Mathews. She attended country school in Winneshiek County. Alice was united in marriage to Thomas Klema on April 13, 1940, in Winneshiek County. In 1948, they moved to North Dakota. Thomas preceded her in death in 1971. She married Gilbert Danner on May 13, 1972, in Minot. They lived in North Dakota prior to moving to Willmar in 1998. Gilbert preceded her in death in 2001.
Alice was baptized on Jan. 28, 1923, and confirmed her faith on May 22, 1939, at St. Agnes Church in Plymouth Rock, Iowa. She was currently a member of Church of St. Mary in Willmar.
Surviving are: her children: Betty Allen of Mesa, Ariz., Wayne (and Brenda) Klema, Kerkhoven, Minn., Shirley Markwardt, Parma, Ohio, Pat (and Larry) Dewhirst, Mesa, Gerald (and Teri) Klema, Elk River, Minn.; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be today, Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Church of St. Mary in Willmar with interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock, Minn.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
