MOLINE - Services for Louis T. Franks, 63, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline.
Mr. Franks died Thursday at Trinity Medical CenterEast Campus, Moline.

He retired in 1987 after 38 years at John Deere Plow Planter. He was a molder and small tool repairman and worked in the paint room. He married Lois Bufe in 1951 in Moline.

His memberships included the church and its Men's Organization and John Deere Retirees Club. He also was a member and grounds superintendent of Moline Junior Football League and was very active in the Boy Scouts of America.
He was an avid gardener and shared his produce with friends and relatives. He also enjoyed fishing and camping and was a diehard Chicago Bears fan.
Memorials may be made to the church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Laura (Mrs. Joe) Hahn; and sons, Steven, Donald and Charles, all of Moline; nine grandchildren; his mother, Velma Franks, Moline; sisters, Wynell Johnson, Ezell (Mrs. Tom) Hammock, Betty (Mrs. Marshall) Cook and Brenda Chapman, all of Moline; and Robbie (Mrs. Hillman) Ward, Carbon Cliff, Ill.; and brothers, Bill, Milan, Ill.; Bobbie Joe, Moline; and Fred, Bettendorf.
