Cy worked for the Patton-Tully Transportation Company as chief Engineer for over 30 years. Cy was a member of the V.F.W., Moose, American Legion, and the Masonic Orders. When he petitioned Jonesboro Lodge No. 111 AF & A.M., Jonesboro, Ill., August 9, 1960 he was elected for the three degree of free masonry on September 13, 1960. He was initiated in the 1st degree December 9, 1960. He passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on April 28, 1961, and raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason December 4, 1961. He was a member of the Scottish Rites and Oasis Shrine Club.
Surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Pearlie Kimmel, of Wolf Lake, five sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Judd of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Mrs. Mina Abernathy of Wolf Lake, Mrs. Daisy Long of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Mrs. Ruth Smith of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Beatrice Sensmeier of Mansfield, Ohio. Four brothers, William of Elkhart, Ind., Cyril of Memphis, Tenn., Alfred of Fort Worth, Tex., and Charles of Wolf Lake, Ill., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death of his father, Clarence, in 1951, three brothers, Harold Quinton in infancy, Howard in 1938, and Frances who was killed in W. W. II.
