He was born March 3, 1906 near Wayland, the son of Jacob and
Fannie Rich Christner. Ezra attended Wayland Schools.
On April 16, 1924 he married Blanche Houston in Washington. They lived in Keokuk County and Washington County all their married life.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, three sons. four daughters,one sister, one brother, 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his parents; a daughter, Ruby; three grandchildren; five sisters and five brothers.
Burial was in the Keota Cemetery.
