MOUNT OLIVET -- Wendall Hall, 76, of Covington, formerly of Robertson County, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at his home.
He was born April 1, 1931, to the late George Gough Hall and Thelma Walton Hall Thaxton of Robertson County.
He was a retired safety specialist at the Cresent Springs office of the Kentucky State Highway Department where he worked for 27 years. He was also a retired farmer and land owner. He graduated from Deming High School in 1948 and he attended the University of Kentucky. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany at one time. He also loved to fish and argue politics with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Jones Hall of Covington; one grandchild, Kelly Askins Burnell, and two great-grandchildren, Casey and Cody Reed, all of Tollesboro; one aunt, Pauline Bailey of Cincinnati; a special cousin, Larry Bradley of Walton; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Jones Allen of Mount Olivet.
He was preceded in death by one son, Denis Askins who died in 1991.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Kain and Kabler Funeral Home in Mount Olivet.
Burial will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery with Bro. Doug Wright officiating.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home
